Its been almost two weeks since the annual Met Ball for 2011 and I cannot stop looking at all of the beautiful outfits the night saw. The dresses ranged from Topshop worn by Gossip Girl's stunning Jessica Szohr to Stella McCartney, Alexander Mcqueen and even a classic vintage Dior number worn beautifully by Ashley Olsen who looked flawless as always.
Miranda Kerr looked great rocking this seasons much loved ballerina look in a Marchesa creation. However I think my favourite of the night was Blake Lively's Chanel, she looked absolutely amazing as always... Definitely a little bit jealous of her right now especially the hair, does this girl ever have a bad hair day???
Woman of the moment Sarah Burton wore one of her own amazing creations in the form of a floor length white number which she looked great in. Sarah Jessica Parker, Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bundchen also shown their support with dresses created by the extremely talented house of Mcqueen.
Here are just a few of my faves from the night..........

SUMMERTIME!!!!!!!!!!!
So its been a while since I posted anything, the uni work just got the better of me....
But I've finally handed all of my assignments in plus the dissertation is finished, so I get a little more time on my hands to do what I enjoy most SHOP, SOCIALISE and READ AND WRITE ALL THINGS FASHION.
Here are just a few little numbers I've purchased just in time for summer, many of which reflect my favourite trend of the moment COLOUR BLOCKING...
The best thing about summer is that I get to inject a bit of colour into my wardrobe which always tends to develop into the darker side as we head in to winter. My favourite things of the moment are my ditsy floral capri jeans which can be dressed up with a nice blouse or down with just a plain t tied in the middle to create a great 50s look.

Cropped jeans or as many refer to them "seven eighths" are key this spring/summer and can be worn in almost any colour to create an effortless, yet great, on trend look. They lie approximately three inches above the ankle so can be worn with just about any shoe although a wedge does tend to look great with this particular style.
Here are few more of my favourite most recent buys; the tan open toe flats go with almost any outfit and are so comfortable at just £35 from Topshop they make the ultimate bargain shoe. The black sandals are another favourite with just a small wedge they're going to be perfect for my trip to Ibiza this summer.
The blue, white and red striped dress is another key piece featuring in my summer wardrobe. I absolutely love this dress it very much fits in with the colour blocking trend and makes me feel all French when I wear it, the main reason behind my love of stripes. The denim jacket I actually bought last year but it will be making regular appearances again this summer. Denim jackets will always make reappearances making them a key fashion piece and a great investment... Everybody should own one!!!
The white one shoulder dress, white collared blouse and red scallop cut shorts are more recent buys I thought I'd just throw in there as each are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or down by adding just a few simple accessories.
