Ibiza: Let the countdown commence...

Seen as though it's my day off and this horrific weather has caused me to be locked up in my house all day, I thought it was only right that I treat you guys to not one but two blog posts.
So it's just five weeks now until I take my annual trip to the white isle we all know as Ibiza. Alright I only went for the first time last year, but I can promise you that after discovering how amazing it is, it most definitely will be an annual thing from now on.

So the countdown has commenced and although I have already bought far too much to take for just the ten nights I am there, there are just a few more pieces I plan on purchasing... You can never have too much (well unless I exceed my 20kg baggage allowance and then I definitely have too much).
Well here goes, my Ibiza 2012 shopping list:

This tie dye bikini from Miss Selfridge is right on trend and a bargain at just £26.

Another must have is this knitted playsuit again just £26 from Topshop it's an easy outfit to transfer from day to night... Love it.

One of my favourite pieces is this bright blue, silk tiered vest dress by Topshop Boutique a little more expensive than the previous two at £75 but a must have. The colour will look amazing with a tan.

Next up is this scarf, just £10 from River Island. It's great for during the day to keep my hair out of the way and then for night to dress up a plain looking outfit.

Sandals are a must if you want to be partying into the early hours. I love these for £48 from Topshop.

Apart from all of these little beauts is all I need now is an outfit perfect for travelling. Have to look my best for when I arrive don't I. So keep your eyes out for the ensemble I come up with over the next few weeks and get holiday shopping guys :)

Blair Waldorf...

With Gossip Girl season 5 recently coming to an end in the UK I thought it was only right that I dedicate my latest post to by far one of my most favourite characters on television... Blair Waldorf.
Waldorf played by 26 year old Leighton Meester is an extremely multi-talented actress who also has a record contract, is the face of numerous brands and has even appeared on the covers of countless fashion monthlies.

For this post I will be focusing on my favourite Blair Waldorf ensembles from season 5 of the award winning, US drama series.

Of course who could forget Blair's stunning Vera Wang wedding gown. Highly influenced by Kate and Will's big day, Blair truly did look like the princess she was doing ever so well to portray.

Next was quite different to Blair's usual classic and sophisticated wardrobe choices. The scene saw Blair imitating Liz Hurley's character Diana Payne for one of her many scams in this blue Herve Leger Joanne bandage dress teamed with, a yellow Louis Vuitton bag and of course a pair of killer Sergio Rossi peep toe slingbacks.

Now the red, tartan Mcqueen blazer was most probably one of my favourite pieces for the whole season, I even tried to go purchase one for myself but of course it had sold out everywhere #gutted.
Here Blair teams the blazer with a cream waistcoat, black Acne skirt, D&G lace top blouse and some amazing lace tights to grunge it up a little, by far one of the best ensembles I've seen on TV in a while.

As you can see Blair loves an orange dress, as they're right on trend and the perfect combination for her glossy brunette locks and pale skin tone. Above are just a few of my faves, the first by Oscar de la Renta, the second by Blumarine and the third by Naeem Khan.

Blair's wardrobe is by far the best on Gossip Girl just cannot wait to see what amazing ensembles she pulls out of the bag for season 6.

Festival season...

Festival season is finally upon us, I attended my first of the summer this weekend at Manchester's Parklife. It was my first year at Parklife and what a weekend. Me and the boyfriend managed to bag ourselves a couple of free VIP weekend tickets which is always a plus and although it did get off to a pretty muddy start the music and the atmosphere most definitely made up for it.

Rather than ramble on about my amazing weekend I'm just going to write a quick post on some festival must haves for 2012...

Obviously the Hunters are a must, I went for a standard black pair this year but they do come in literally every colour you can imagine... Wouldn't mind investing in a red pair next myself.

Now I love a good pair of big sunglasses and could probably find about a hundred pairs to show you guys but here are just a few of my favourites for this season by Prada, Rayban, Tiffany & Co Dior and Chanel. Sunglasses are one of the most vital accessories for festival season so make sure you find the perfect pair.

The perfect pair of denim shorts are pretty hard to come by but they are key for the festival wardrobe. Above are some of my faves by Topshop, River Island and Asos.

Then finally to ensure we come prepared for a bit of our traditional Great British wet weather a pac-a-mac is a vital. They're hardly the most attractive accessory but Asos actually have some pretty cool ones on offer this year, this red one by Lacoste is by far my favourite.

Get shopping festival guys and follow me on Pinterest Jessica Louise Simm, I've finally got to grips with it :)
