Clueless...

Being born towards the end of the 80s the majority of my childhood was spent admiring the trends of the 90s. From the outfits made famous by the cast of Saved by the Bell and Beverley Hills, 90210 to the  Union Jack dress worn by Geri Halliwell at the 1997 Brit Awards, I was in constant awe of the majority of garments to feature on my TV screen. But that was then...

When 90s trends initially started to make a comeback I was in fact quite sceptical. The ridiculous matching outfits my mum used to dress me and my sister in were definitely not something I wanted to relive.

Then the McQ Alexander McQueen tartan collection was released and well, seen as though this time around I do in fact have a say in my wardrobe choices I thought to myself it might actually be quite fun, LA based label Wildfox certainly seem to think so.

Like most, 90s cult classic Clueless was a definite childhood highlight. So when I heard Wildfox decided to mimmick a number of scenes from  the 1995 Beverley Hills set movie for their SS13 campaign, I was actually quite intrigued.

Not only does each image throughout the campaign reflect a famous scene from the film, but the three models featured also bear uncanny resemblances to the main characters; Cher, Dionne and Tai.

Check out the outcome of the shoot below.

Absolute genius if you ask me

Mulberry SS13...

So this week has been pretty hectic. We waved goodbye to the incredible year which was 2012 and welcomed in 2013 with a bang.

2012 is going to be a pretty hard year to top, particularly in terms of  historic events, however with regards to fashion it's already looking to be bigger and better.

In previous posts I have already discussed the SS13 collections which I am most excited for and as mentioned in my post on the 4th October last year, Mulberry is most definitely set to be a highlight for me.

As if I wasn't eager enough, the iconic British brand have only gone and released the even more stunning campaign shots.

Featuring model Meghan Collison, the shots heavily reflect the muted, pastel tones of the collection in a chilled out underwater scene with a number of Collison's poses even mimicking that of a mermaid.

Like the rest of the world I have my heart set on the Willow Tote bag which features as a focal point throughout the campaign, however sadly there is already a waiting list.

Roll on the 17th February when we'll all be treated to yet another Mulberry collection for their AW13 show at London Fashion Week next month.
