As you all may know I see Carrie Bradshaw as somewhat of an idol. So when I heard the news that a new actress would be taking on Sarah Jessica Parker's much acclaimed role as a younger version of the sassy writer, in a new TV series which focuses more on Bradshaw's younger days, as you can imagine I was extremely excited.
The actress to take on the role has in fact been confirmed as stunning 18 year old actress AnnaSophia Robb. Now Robb may already look slightly familiar to you all as she has in fact appeared in Tim Burton's 2005 re-make of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory alongside Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, as well as Bridge to Terabithia with girl of the moment Zooey Deschanel. However this time it's Robb's turn to take centre stage to see if she can live up to SJP's reputation and pull it off. Photographs have been released to prove that she already has the wardrobe nailed (remember it is set in the 80s) but lets just hope she has the charisma which Parker had in the exact same character. The resemblance between the two actresses though is rather uncanny, take a look for yourselves...

SJP has faith in the young actress anyway as she has in fact written to Robb wishing her luck in her new role... Well that's good enough for us :)
