London Fashion Week...

As a cold and rainy London prepared for Winter by pulling out the 100 denier tights and fur coats the designers of Britain showcased what we've all got to look forward to for our Spring/Summer 2013 wardrobes.

Here are just a few highlights from the much anticipated London Fashion Week SS13.

First up we saw Matthew Williamson grace the catwalk with his 15th Anniversary collection. One word... AMAZING.

With lots of tailored pieces, some loose fit trousers, beaded mosaic detailing and a huge explosion of colour the British designer did us proud.

Every season Topshop Unique top the previous and well, they did it again.

With the majority of pieces being black and white with the odd one being yellow the collection was simple with of course that genius Topshop twist.

Taking inspiration from Space the garments were each effortless and loosely fitted. Take a look for yourself, my favourites were the chiffon dresses.

The Burberry Prorsum show sent Twitter into a frenzy as none other than Harry Styles took a front row seat to see model of the moment Cara Delevingne in action. Joining Styles was Dita Von Teese, Victoria Pendleton, Andy Murray and Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel.

As always Burberry showcased their signature trench however this time with a number of twists. Some were in bright metallics, some shorter versions teamed with bodysuits, some had huge bell sleeves and some in a more cape style for summer.

The show saw lots of unique shapes before coming to an end with the trench in each and every colour of the rainbow with a beautiful shiny twist.

Later that evening we saw designer of the moment JW Anderson bring the shows to a close for the penultimate night on British soil.

Featuring sporty silhouettes with frilled detailing, frill bandeau tops teamed with high waisted frill hemmed skirts, biker jackets, wrap over jackets and loose matching trouser, jacket ensembles the show featured a number of unique pieces like no other.

Finally one of my favourite British labels Mulberry.

Taking front row seats were fashion royalty Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Lana Del Rey.

The show started with a rather warm colour palette before going pastel and ending with a number of navy and black ensembles.

Featuring camel caped back trenches with large floral buttons, biker jackets, pleated skirts and maxi dresses to give the collection that British, bohemian edge the show was as amazing as ever.

Look out for my next post soon to see how the Italians did fashion week in Milan
