New York Fashion Week...

Wednesday September 5th saw the much anticipated New York Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2013 kick of to start and here are just a few highlights from my favourite shows of the week.

First up was Jason Wu who decided to juxtapose a combination of the fetishism, dominatrix trend with splashes of feminine, classic and prim pieces.

Featuring both leather and lace, collared blouses buttoned up right to the top, high-waisted shorts, sheer maxi's, bodysuits, A-line skirts, bandeau tops and apron dresses the collection was amazing.

Take a look for yourself.

Another favourite was the Victoria by Victoria Beckham collection. Very much inspired by living in Los  Angeles the collection was extremely laid back and a real breath of Californian fresh air. The silhouettes were much looser than Beckham's usual creations and remained simple yet feminine and classic throughout the show.

And finally Marc Jacobs.

Jacobs never fails to impress and this collection was no different than any other. Featuring lots of bold vertical stripes which as the show went on began to curve to become rather psychadelic the models looked incredible.

The collection was classic, feminine and extremely lady like. It was simple with a twist. Ruffled collars, scalloped edges and a Mickey Mouse crop made simple ensembles jaw dropping.

Genius as always.

Keep your eye out for my next posts throughout the day on the best from London, Milan and Paris.
