Mary Katrantzou...

Designer of the moment Mary Katrantzou is just about everywhere at the moment. Her designs triumphed at London Fashion Week yesterday displaying a number of bold, unique silhouettes combined with artistic prints and a rather varied colour palette.

However possibly the most talked about aspect of her work is her recent collaboration with high street chain Topshop. The Greek born designer has chosen to use a number of flamboyant floral and kaleidoscope like prints for the collection featuring a number of dresses, leggings, trousers, a t-shirt and a scarf.

Possibly my favourite piece of all though is this colourful little number, which has made it's way on to several red carpets in recent weeks, by a number of A-listers.

Amazing isn't it?? But unlucky guys its sold out just about everywhere :(

Hello Spring and Hello Pleats...

Minus the short period of snow which hit us last week spring is just around the corner. A number of fashion favourites have gone all pastel for 2012 and to go with the soft, feminine colour scheme a number of brands have been working hard on their pleated garments. Here are just a few of my favourites, both high street and designer:

                                                                               Prada:

Topshop:

Whistles:

Diane Von Furstenberg:

Pleats are an extremely versatile trend, they can be made feminine, preppy, edgy, classic plus much more. Heavily associated with the 1950s they are a great spring/ summer look and if you want to remain on trend this season then I would most definitely invest!!!

Lana Del Rey...

Lana Del Rey is becoming somewhat of a style icon. This months Vogue cover girl looks absolutely amazing on the front of the British version of the publication in a Louis Vuitton summer dress and crystal hair piece. The red haired beauty shows of her supermodel looks throughout the shoot, something which we are most definitely going to be seeing more of throughout the majority of our fashion publications.

Her style is extremely diverse depending on the occasion, she's been seen rocking one of my personal favourite summer looks of a pair of high wasted denim shorts and a cropped T, as well as a formal ladylike look. She is feminine yet remains edgy and has also been proven to love a good vintage number. However whatever look she does go for she still always seems to look flawless.

NEW STYLE CRUSH: GILLIAN ZINSER

90210's Ivy played by Gillian Zinser not only has the most amazing hair i've ever seen but she also has a fab wardrobe to go with it.
Zinser is most definitely my biggest style crush of the moment especially because of the fact she is an avid wearer of my favourite trend 'boho-chic'.
Here are some of my favourite outfits she has rocked:

Like me she loves a good pair of frayed denim shorts, fringing, leather jacket, bowler hat, denim shirt, maxi skirt and embellishment all with of course the bohemian effortless, wavy hair :)
She's definitely one to look out for!!!

Holiday shop...

Hi guys, sorry I've not had a chance to post recently but things have been hectic. I now have a weekly article for www.businessboombolton.com about all things fashion so be sure to check it out, I've had some great reviews which have been very much appreciated :)

Here's the link to my latest feature http://businessboombolton.com/2012/01/31/jessica-simm-fashion-news/. There are some other great fashion writers on there too.

So last week I not only paid off my holiday to Mexico for my cousin's wedding this spring but I also managed to book my annual trip to Ibiza for 9 nights this summer with the girls. I'm so excited and thought what better way to celebrate than to start shopping this year's holiday wardrobes...

As always Ibiza's style will be Bohemian Chic but I was contemplating maybe a few more feminine pieces teamed with some Aztec jewellery which is big right now for Mexico. Here are a few of my favourites so far:
