Winter wonderland...

So winter is finally upon us and although the cold weather drys out my skin and frizzes my hair I absolutely love pulling out the fur (faux obviously) and throwing on a good jumper. Here are just a few of my recent buys which I can't wait to be rocking out this season :)

Brown faux fur coat, Topshop, £95; White high top Converse, Offspring at Selfridges, £38.99; Black suede court shoe, Dorothy Perkins, £35; Tan skinny belt, Topshop, £20; Camel floppy hat, Topshop, £25.
Tweed look Grandad style coat, Topshop, £85; Studded slippers, Topshop, £28; Red satchel, H&M, £14.99; Black stilletto court shoe, Topshop, £62; Burgundy scarf, H&M, £6.99; Faux fur pom pom beanie, Topshop, £14.

Knitted beaded crop jacket, Topshop, £48; Black waterfall blazer, Topshop, £58; Black/ silver jumper, Topshop, £48.

Polka dot blouse, Topshop, £32; Green cable knit jumper, Topshop, £40; Blue cable knit cardigan, Topshop, £12.

Oxblood crochet dress, Topshop, £50; Cream peter pan collar dress, Topshop, £50; Navy polka dot playsuit, Topshop, £46.

Black PU pencil skirt, Topshop, £36; Silver snowflake crochet shorts, Topshop, £38; Black PU hotpants, Topshop, £28; Black feather shorts, Topshop, £36.

Black oversized chiffon tunic with batwing sleeves, Forever Unique, £110.

Cream oversized chiffon pocket blouse, Topshop, £34.

White embellished vintage look blouse, Miss selfridge, £65.

So not all of the pieces I have recently purchased are for day to day wear but there are a few great Christmas party pieces in there. Some pieces, in particularly the shorts and PU leather pencil skirt, can be dressed down with just some simple jersey along with the playsuit which I love to wear over just a plain grey T-shirt (Topshop and H&M have some great ones in). I also love to wear the blouses and knitted beaded crop jacket with my Topshop Leigh jeans, everybody really should own a pair of these.

Hope you enjoy. Lots of love Jess xx

Up and coming...

So Autumn is finally here and although the days get colder and the nights get darker, we all get to use the season change as a chance to re-vamp our wardrobes with a huge shopping trip...
October is always a big month for me as it's my birthday on the 11th. I usually like to spend a few days in London, do a bit of shopping and hit a few bars with friends but this year we wont get the chance to be there for my actual birthday weekend. However my friends have made sure we end up doing something equally as fun just a little closer to home. The weekend before we are heading to Liverpool and the weekend after rumour has it its Leeds, so should be fun as I've never actually been to either for a night out.
Following those two big weekends I shall be paying Plymouth a visit. I really really need a smart/formal dress so will be on the lookout for anything Kate Middleton-esque, and then I might finally get my London trip at the end of the month if all goes to plan =)
So October is busy busy busy for me with such great events pencilled into my diary it's a must for my wardrobe to be as exciting as my schedule. Here are a few of my Autumn favourites from the Autumn/ Winter 2011 Topshop collection:

Premium Topshop Boutique Pyrmaid Flared heel boot £140.00
Angora dip dye jumper by Topshop boutique £58.00

Topshop Leigh Jeans £38.00
Topshop Batwing elastic blouse £45.00

Topshop Knitted bottle green tweedy cable jumper £40.00
Topshop Animal Panel Cami £26.00
Topshop Black embellished cami £36.00

Topshop Faux Leather panel legging £28.00
Topshop Grey sheer animal print drop hem shirt £38.00
Topshop Tie blouse by Boutique £65.00

Topshop Faux leather biker hotpants £28.00

Topshop Lion wedge heel ankle strap sandals £80.00
Topshop Lace insert dress £85.00

And obviously as we head further towards the British winter a good old classic warm winter coat is imperative, heres an absolutely beauty I spotted:

Topshop Faux fur collar boyfriend coat £100.00
I absolutely love the burnt orange colour of this coat and I love that you can also dress it down by detatching the fur collar to maybe add a different scarf... This Teal cable knit scarf also from Topshop would be great at just £16.00:

Anyways happy autumn everybody and I shall be posting again soon =) xxx

V Festival 2011...

Another little trip I managed to go on this summer was V festival at Hylands Park in Chelmsford. My mum bought me a ticket to congratulate me on graduating with a 2:1 and it really was the best present I could have asked for, had the most amazing time and saw some amazing artists.

With Arctic Monkeys, Plan B, Eminem and Rihanna headlining the atmosphere was unreal, and we all know how it's basically impossible to stay looking our best at festivals especially when camping for 3 nights. Making it that much more important for my wardrobe to be on top form...

Obviously the Hunters were a must along with a few pairs of denim shorts, some vests and my classic leather biker jacket... My favourite thing in the whole of my wardrobe, it really does give that much needed edge to any outfit. Here's a few pictures from the weekend anyway...

Much love xx

Update...

So its been a while since I wrote anything on here I've been so busy all summer but I promise from now on I will be making this a regular part of my routine.

So I finally graduated at the Bridgewater hall in Manchester on Saturday 23rd July. It was such an amazing day, the sun held out for us and I absolutely loved my dress at just £50 from ASOS it was an absolute bargain I just had to snap up. The nude blazer with the floral lining was a Topshop buy from the spring/ summer 2010 collection.

Just 4 days after graduating Ibiza finally came the holiday I've been waiting all year for.... The wait was most definitely worth while, as I had the time of my life and was gutted when I had to come home. Although it is exhausting 7 days is just not long enough in that place. I went with my two best friends Zoe and Lauren and we got to experience some of the most amazing nightclubs in the world along with some of the best DJ's playing to us. My favourites being Eddie Halliwell and Laidback Luke at Amnesia, Simian Mobile Disco at Space and Tiesto at Privilege. We were a little bit gutted that we never got the chance to see Swedish House Mafia at Pacha but oh well next year we shall be back.

So our days consisted of lazing by the pool followed by dinner and watching the sunset, cocktails afterwards then on to one of Ibiza's many super clubs, what more could a girl ask for!!!!

With the amazing holiday obviously had to come an overweight suitcase full of some beautiful clothes.... Here are a few of my favourite snaps:

And thought i'd draw this post to a close with a picture of the sunset from Cafe Mambos... Absolutely unreal =) xxx

Internship...

So I finally finished uni after four long years and felt it was time to GROW UP and look for a real job. In the mean time though I've been doing an internship at a Manchester based PR agency, it was my first day today and I loved it... So far so good =)
Here are a few pieces I purchased last minute to wear as it turns out I didn't actually own any office clothes...

And some more...

(images from Topshop.com and Asos)...

I also cam across the perfect graduation dress which I just had to get:

Cannot wait for the big day now, fingers crossed I've actually passed these exams xxx
