Sunday Funday...

Sunday was a good day all round, I managed to bag myself some amazing jacquard shorts from Topshop and of course it was the third day of London Fashion Week.
11am saw Mulberry showcase their Autumn/Winter collection for 2013 and what an incredible one it was. Most definitely my highlight for LFW so far, just one word can describe this one AMAZING.

Quite possibly my favourite aspect of the collection was that it screamed Brit. The brand's British heritage was represented in almost everything that came down runway, from the fabrics to the Autumn floral patterns it really was absolute perfection.

Later that day it was Topshop Unique's turn to hit the catwalk. With Daisy Lowe, Olivia Palermo and Kate Bosworth sat on the front row plus Cara Delevingne strutting down the runway the show was bound to be a memorable one. Featuring oversized crops, high-waisted skirts in both mini and midi lengths, over-sized coats and chunky knits the collection was a modern day take on the 90s. I literally cannot contain my excitement  for this one to hit the shops come Autumn.

New York Fashion Week was without a doubt as incredible as ever... With the likes of Victoria Beckham, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Diane Von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs and a whole load more of the world's greatest designers showcasing their Autumn/Winter collections for 2013, the week was a true success and most definitely one of my favourite to date.

Far too many amazing collections were showcased to include in just one post so for this one I'm just going to highlight my favourites from the week.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have of course been renowned for their signature styles and as a result have been featuring on our best dressed lists for quite some time now. The twins high-end label, The Row was originally launched in 2007 and ever since they have gracing the fashion industry with their unique creations. For AW13 the twins produced a collection featuring beautiful tailoring, oversized jumpers, layering and monochrome. The collection was classy and elegant yet edgy and simple at the same time - by far one of the best the week saw.

Another stunning collection came from one of my favourite designers Victoria Beckham. I truly believe that Victoria Beckham is one of the most talented designers out there which has been heavily proven in her latest collection. For AW13 Victoria maintained her classic ladylike style, however this time taking inspiration from her roots - and recent return home, with the use of beautiful British heritage fabrics including tweed, plaid and herringbone. I particularly love the oversized coats, midi hemlines, flashes of colour and emphasized shoulders.

Sunday saw Diane Von Furstenberg take centre stage with her glam rock inspired collection. Featuring flamboyant patterns, classic silhouettes and of course leading the show was model of the moment Cara Delevingne.

Bringing NYFW AW13 to a close on the final day of catwalks with the penultimate show was of course Calvin Klein. With Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain taking taking a front row seat and iconic model Carolyn Murphy - who first walked for the label two decades ago, hitting the runway, the collection was most definitely a highlight for me.

At 2pm on Valentine's Day, Creative Director of the NYC based label, Francisco Costa sent his latest collection down the catwalk. Taking one of the final slots in Fashion Week is always tough, however Costa managed to create another unique but stunning collection. Featuring extraordinary silhouettes in the form of strong boxy shoulders, many of the pieces had a very military-esque feel to them. I particularly loved the trench coats and mid-riff baring ensembles.
